Intangible cultural heritage since 2014
The theatre is fascinating and inspiring. It is sung about in songs and is the origin of films for TV and cinema. Often it is even the subject and background for such films. It allows us to escape from our daily routine and offers distraction and diversion.
Even a small city like Miltenberg is the home of a professional theatre (the world’s smallest or the summer theatre in the palace garden of Kleinheubach), the Theatre Lilli Chapeau.
But companies from other cities and regions also provide their guest performances here – most of all the theaterachse Salzburg who produce the “Theatertage auf der Mildenburg” every year in July.
To ensure that the young audience also are not missed our, the children’s (puppet) theatre Kindertheater Papiermond regularly has guest performances in Miltenberg.
The Junge Oper Detmold, who have repeatedly been our guests, connect theatre with (professional) music.
Since our friends from abroad also enrich the German orchestra landscape, we always enjoy the regular visits by the sextet Bozen Brass from South Tyrol.
A professional musician does not necessarily need an orchestra to enrich the music landscape. Living proof is Sylvia Ackermann with her Claviersalon and the guest musicians she invites to Miltenberg.
You can find these and many other events in our event calendar.
