Some witnesses of Bürgstadt’s old history are first of all “The Martinskapelle” dating back to the 10th century with its elaborate “Biblia Pauperum” from the late 16th century, the town hall built in the Renaissance, a late Neolithic hill fort (Ringwallanlage), the ruin of the Centgrafen chapel (Centgrafenkapelle) from the Thirty-Year War, and the tenderly decorated museum with its focus on viniculture and stone processing.

Around Bürgstadt you can find about 60km of well-established hiking trails, a lot of carefully selected Nordic Walking trails through forest and vineyards and furthermore it is located along some wonderful bike trails. If you prefer swimming, you should visit our heated public outdoor pool or spend activity time playing tennis or squash, bowling or, more quietly, with fishing.
